Melanie Sov, PA-C graduated with her Master of Physician Assistant Studies (MPAS) at James Madison University, where she discovered her passion for gastroenterology during her internal medicine rotations. Prior to PA school, she attended The University of Virginia, earning her undergraduate degree with a Bachelor of Arts in Biology. She has served the community by working as an EMT and advocating for quality patient care as a member of the Inova Fair Oaks Hospital Patient Experience Committee.
In addition to working at Gastrointestinal Medicine Associates, she is a proud team member of the Endoscopic Wellness Center of America (EWLCA), where she helps patients achieve their weight loss goals through new and innovative bariatric endoscopic procedures. Melanie has always enjoyed caring for patients with a wide range of gastrointestinal complaints in both the inpatient and outpatient settings. She is also a proud member of the American Academy of Physician Assistants (AAPA) and the Virginia Academy of Physician Assistants (VAPA).
During her free time, she enjoys working out and staying fit. Spending time with friends and family and discovering new places to hike.
